Lunch and Book Buddies

Medical and Nursing Students read to and share lunch with a buddy at Steck, a neighboring elementary school to encourage literacy and the importance of education. Our volunteers help at risk students learn to set goals and share special time with a caring adult. The majority of the K-5 students are minority.
