Army Eastside Clinic
Medical and Nursing students provide preventive
care for former substance abusers in cooperation with a six-month
residential urban rehabilitation program. Students are involved
in all aspects of clinic operation, education development and
student orientation while providing primary care. Developed in
1997 by medical students, the program provides preventive health
to a medically underserved population, educates students about
preventive health and the medically indigent and instills in students
a lifelong interest in service to the underserved.
