Bio

After receiving his M.D. at the University of Illinois, Dr. Lindberg went to the University of California in San Francisco to complete two years of internship/resident training. At Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Lindberg completed his General Surgery Chief year in 2003. From Arizona, he went on to the University of California in San Diego to complete one year of Burn Fellowship.

The Granville A. Bennet Award was presented to Dr. Lindberg for outstanding contributions to medical school education from the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

During his medical education, Dr. Lindberg co-authored the curriculum for "Clinical Applications of Biochemistry," was contributing author and editor to 2nd edition of Students Companion to Stryer's Biochemistry, and organized the Allerton Conference for Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois. Gordon also authored and co-authored four publications and four abstracts to complete his Ph.D. In addition, he has been an instructor since 1979.

Dr. Lindberg will focus his research on adrenal insufficiency, critical care, and migration of epithelial cells across wound beds.
