Costa Rica: Coast-to-Coast

Meet the Trekkers
Tim Collins

Tim Collins, a native Denverite, is a Trustee of Webb-Waring and the great grandson of WW Founder Dr. Gerald B. Webb. Tim manages the Denver institutional equity office of Bear, Stearns & Co.

After graduating from the Universty of Colorado, Boulder, Tim moved to New York City to begin a Wall Street career in 1981. He moved back to Denver from Santa Monica, CA in 2001 after 20 years in New York City and Los Angeles.

Tim is married to Kirsten Dahl Collins, a free lance writer and playwright who is finishing her first novel, a murder mystery set in Palm Springs, CA. Tim and Kirsten have 5 year old twin daughters, Annabel and Christina who have just begun Kindergarten.

Annabel and Christina Collins recently announced that the the word "pachyderm" means "thick skin," which was news to their parents. They continue their daily field studies of the insect, animal and plant life in their backyard. Dr. Webb would have been pleased by their passionate interest in all living things, which he shared throughout his life.

Tim is proud of Webb-Waring's legacy of world leadership in focused niches of healthcare research. Tim's motivation to join the Costa Rica, Coast-to-Coast trip is to support the research of the WW Institute while exploring new terrain of his own, both geographically and athletically.
