Peru: Up and Down the Andes is scheduled for September 14-23, 2006. The Webb-Waring 30,000-Foot Challenge Team will begin their adventure at 11,148 feet above sea level, in Cuzco, the capital of the Inca Empire. Our adventurers will embark on a 10-day expedition on bikes and by foot. They will ride mountain bikes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and trek on Inca trails along the rugged Andean Cordillera to finish at the summit of the sacred Mountain of Huayna Picchu. While the trip is demanding, those who are in good physical condition are expected to meet this challenge. CLICK HERE for price list.

The Companion trip offers participation in the adventure, without the "challenge" aspect. Companion participants will explore Peru's fascinating Inca history and rich culture. The group will visit Inca ruins, picturesque villages, a cloud forest, and incredible local artisans (among other incredible places!) CLICK HERE for price list.

Registration is limited to the first 50 participants. A non-refundable deposit of $800 is required to secure your place. Both Challenge and Companion participants are required to raise $5,000 before departure to benefit the Webb-Waring Institute.
