Research Interests:

1.Identification of novel genes involved in the specification, migration and differentiation of neural crest cells and Rohon-Beard sensory neurons in zebrafish.
2.How do the novel and existing genes that are involved in the specification of these cells fit into the molecular cascade? What is the role of specific transcription factors in this process?
3.What are the lineal relationships between cell types at the neural plate border? Do they require the same set of inductive cues? What are the molecular signals that induce them?
