Q. Do I have to take the TOEFL?

A. Yes; everyone applying to the ISP program must take the TOEFL exam and have the scores submitted to the ISP program. No exceptions.

Q. If I already have a degree from a U.S. university/college, do I still have to take the TOEFL exam?

A. Yes; everyone applying to the ISP program must take the TOEFL exam and have the scores submitted to the ISP program.  No exceptions.

Q. If I am already a U.S. citizen, do I have to take the TOEFL?

A. Yes; everyone applying to the ISP program must take the TOEFL exam. 

Q. Can I apply to the ISP program now and take the TOEFL exam at a future date?

A. The application will not be considered for the program without the TOEFL exam score.

Q. What if I received a score of 579 paper-based test or 236 computer-based test on the TOEFL?

A. No application will be considered without a minimum TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based test) or 237 (computer-based test).

Q.  What if I have taken the TOEFL exam but the school won't receive the test score before the deadline date?

A.  The TOEFL score must be received or postmarked on or before the deadline date.

Q.   What if other schools accept my National Board Part-1 and TOEFL scores that are below the University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine's admission requirements?

A.  All four sections of the NBD I exam must be passed and receive a minimum score of 237 for TOEFL computer-based or 580 for TOEFL paper-base tests.

Q. Can I apply to the ISP program and take the National Board - Part I exam in the near future?

A. The application will not be considered for the program without proof of the National Board -Part I score; all four sections having been passed.
