Research Interests:
Using microarray analysis, our lab has compiled a list of novel genes that are differentially expressed within the developing face during mouse embryogenesis. Many of these genes also have homologs in the zebrafish, Danio rerio. The reduced expression of one such gene results in a significant defect in craniofacial development in zebrafish. I’m currently interested in elucidating this gene’s role in vertebrate craniofacial development.
General Interests:
I enjoy going to the gym, reading, watching movies, and playing guitar. Some of my other interests include video games, Apple computers, and modern furniture design.
