MD Program
Programs Associated with MD Degree :
In addition to the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) and the Rural Track, which are official programs of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, several students each year take time out of the medical school curriculum to complete an MBA or an MPH . Typically students do this after the second year and successful completion of part I of USMLE.
The Medical Student Promotions Committee must approve these leaves of absence. Three to four students in each class do the MBA and one to two go on leave for the MPH. In addition, we have one student at this time doing a six year MD/JD program with the University of Colorado-Boulder Law School and this is a program we are anxious to expand over the next several years.
