Information for Minorities : UCD has a strong interest in the recruitment and retention of minorities into the health professions. All minority applicants must apply through AMCAS. UCD encourages applications from qualified members of minority groups with preference for residents of Colorado or non-residents with strong ties to the state. Acceptance by the Committee on Admissions is based on the same criteria that apply to the non-minority applicants. The committee carefully considers the student's social, economic, and educational background. It is possible for some disadvantaged students to have application fees defrayed. The UCD School of Medicine does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, creed, national origin, age, or handicap.
