Goals
There are three primary goals for the proposed Grand Junction Clinical Branch Campus (GJCBC)
- Increase the number or physicians practicing nationally, in Colorado, and on the Western Slope
- Provide exceptional Western Slope training for 48 medical students.
- Improve access and quality of care to communities and patients on the Western Slope

Richard D. Krugman, MDVice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Dean UCD SOM
- Board Certified Pediatrician; internationally renowned expert on child abuse and neglect; elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2005
- Chair of Association of American Medical Colleges
- Boards of Directors: Princeton University, Hasbro Children’s Foundation, Denver Health Medical Center
- 17 1/2 year tenure as dean; 35 years on faculty
- President of University Physicians, Inc. ($275 million budget)
