About the School

The University of Colorado's School of Pharmacy is one of the top-ranked pharmacy schools in the nation and is committed to pharmaceutical education, research and patient care. The school's more than 500 undergraduate and graduate students are trained in the chemical and physical properties of medicinal agents, the biology of disease and the actions of drugs on the human body while pursuing either a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Ph.D. degree. The school also provides continuing education programs to pharmacists and other health practitioners throughout the state.

Consistently among the top ten U.S. pharmacy schools in terms of federal research funding, the school's internationally renowned faculty conducts pioneering research in a variety of scientific fields which include: molecular and cellular pathology and toxicology; drug delivery systems; protein structure and delivery; cancer, heart, lung and blood diseases; alcohol and drug abuse; synthetic and analytical medicinal chemistry, and metabolism of drugs and environmental chemicals.
