Two Click Email

If you send messages to the same people often, wouldn't it be nice to be able to start a message with just two clicks? A little work now can set that up for you. Here's how-

First set up the addresses for your frequent correspondents.

1. Right Click the Outlook toolbar, select Customize, click commands
2. Scroll to the bottom of the Categories list (on the left), Select New Menu
3. Drag the New Menu item from the Commands list (on the right) onto the menu bar
4. Right Click on the New Menu item (Now on your menu bar) and rename it ("Quickmail", in this example)
5. Click Close to close the Customize window

Now add addresses to the "Quickmail" menu

6. Right Click the "Quickmail" Item you have just created and select Customize
7. From the File category, drag and drop the Mail Message onto the Quickmail item (This is tricky, when the icon is directly over the Quickmail menu a small box appears below it, drop the icon in that box.)
8. Right Click the Mail Message on the Quickmail menu and enter a name (Tim, for example)
9. Without leaving that popup menu, select Assign Hyperlink, A new window will appear, select Open
10. Select E-mail Address (the icon on the lower left) from that window, click the email address box and type in the full email address (Tim.Tracy@uchsc.edu)
11. Repeat steps 6 through 10 for each additional person, When you are finished click Close

To use addresses from this list click on the "Quickmail" menu, then select the appropriate item. Viola! Two Click email!
