Clinical/Research Interest:
Practice site: University of Colorado Denver, Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (BDC). The BDC is one of the leading centers in the United States for the treatment of type 1 diabetes. The Young Adult Clinic oversees the care for over 2000 patients with diabetes. In addition to patient care activities the BDC is recognized nationally for their efforts in clinical research. The clinic has programs established in insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, dietary/lifestyle modification and pregnancy. This is also a rotation site for fourth-year pharmacy students.
Clinical research and areas of interest: Research areas of interest include implementation of technology in diabetes management, impact of pharmaceutical care services in an endocrine practice, diabetes management services in community pharmacies, obesity/metabolic syndrome in type 1 diabetes, mental health in patients with diabetes and new drug/technology development.
