Information for Students
Planning for and completing rotations can be a daunting task. Therefore, it pays to prepare yourself with information before you jump in. Our advice is always to do some thinking about what you will challenge based on your prior experience first. Then, you can determine which rotations you will do in person and start the preparations for them. The various pages within the Experiential Training portion of this website give you plenty of details on how to begin. When doing prospective rotations, you will need the Student Manual for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience Program, which contains the policies, procedures, and required documents for rotations. The manual will answer many questions, such as the documents required before starting a rotation, evaluation forms, and expected outcomes from rotations. NTPD students starting rotations are required to read and understand the contents of this manual. You will also be expected to assist your preceptors to use this information (which parallels their Preceptor Manual for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience Program to develop a plan or syllabus for the rotation and to complete the required assessment forms.
