Graduation Eligibility
The University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus grants diplomas in May and December of each year; graduation ceremonies for the AMC are only conducted in May. You may participate in the May ceremonies if you have graduated the previous December, or will be eligible for May graduation.
How do you know if you are eligible to graduate?
Deadlines for May Diplomas

late May: Graduation ceremonies held at the Anschutz Medical Campus
July 1: All rotations must be completed and approved; all challenges must be approved

Deadlines for December Diplomas

November 1: All rotations must be started; all challenges received by the NTPD Office
February 1: All rotations must be completed and approved; all challenges must be approved
mid-February: Degrees will be posted on the transcript for all eligible students

Clerkships started before graduation can be completed after graduation, and clerkship and challenge paperwork can be wrapped up, through July for a May diploma and through late January for a December diploma. A passing grade for every course, challenge, and clerkship must be present on your transcript for a total of 65 credit hours by the end of the grace period in July or January to meet the May or December criteria, respectively.
When you are reasonably sure of your graduation date (December or May), complete a graduation application. The application should be completed approximately 6 months before your anticipated graduation (see deadlines above). Select PHRMD/Pharmacy for degree/major; do not select an August graduation date.
By filling out this application, the Registrar will be able to send your diploma to you once it is released on your transcript. The fee is $15 for US addresses, and $42 for Canadian addresses. You must submit a check or money order to the University of Colorado Denver Office of the Registrar in order to receive your diploma in the mail. Few students will have their diploma available at the graduation ceremonies.
Please note: Your transcript will be reviewed by personnel in the Office of Postgraduate Professional Education to make the final determination of your eligibility to graduate.
