The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) is ranked among the top biomedical research institutions in the U.S. Our School of Medicine was ranked 20th in NIH funding in 2004 and the School of Pharmacy is second in per capita support. Together with our Schools of Dentistry, Nursing and Graduate studies, we are committed to providing an environment that promotes, supports and facilitates research.

The Office of Vice Chancellor Research (OVCR) supports faculty in their research endeavors and ensures the integrity of the University's research mission by adherence to the highest ethical standards for research involving animals and human subjects. In support of the UCD mission to pioneer research techniques and important discoveries, it is the aim of this Office to offer the infrastructure needed to be one of the top research institutions in the world
