Margaret Turner, B.Sc., Ph.D. is the Administrator for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at the Health Sciences Center. The IACUC is responsible for the oversight of regulatory compliance in research involving animals. Dr. Turner holds degrees in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland and has research interests in sympathetic neurotransmission in the cardiovascular system. She served in administration in both COMIRB and IACUC Offices at UCD prior to assuming the role of IACUC Administrator. Dr. Turner's background in education includes teaching pharmacology courses to nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and nurse practitioners.
