Chancellor Wilson discusses restructuring in open forums
University of Colorado Denver Chancellor M. Roy Wilson is holding open forums on each campus to present his thoughts on re-structuring. Subsequent open forums are expected to be held to specifically address the topic of institutional accreditation followed by institutional identity.

An initial open forum was held Monday, July 31, 4-5 p.m. at the Denison Auditorium on the Ninth Ave. Campus.

The downtown Denver and Fitzsimons campus forums will be held:
• Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2-3 p.m. - North Classroom 1130, downtown Denver campus
• Thursday, Aug. 3, 4-5 p.m. - Shore Forum, Nighthorse Campbell Native Health Building at the Fitzsimons campus

All University of Colorado Denver employees are now welcome to access my.CU, the new faculty/staff portal. The portal is generally available 24/7.

University of Colorado Hospital ranks among nation’s best in 2006
University of Colorado Hospital is among the nation’s best health care centers, ranking in nine of 16 specialties and reaching top-20 status in four categories, including sixth nationwide for the treatment of patients with respiratory disorders, according to the latest “America’s Best Hospitals” survey by U.S.News & World Report.

Researchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine have identified a common genetic variation that could help determine whether a person with heart failure would benefit from beta-blockers, a class of drugs used to treat chronic heart failure.
