Volunteers needed for Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon
Did you know that a major world class marathon is coming to Aurora,
Denver and Lakewood? Did you know that University of Colorado Hospital is
a presenting sponsor? On May 21, an anticipated 6,000 participants and more than 30,000 spectators will be part of the inaugural Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon.
With unprecedented cooperation and a first for three cities to be co-founders, the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon is off to a good start.
There will be three marathon championships: the national wheelchair marathon championships, the national relay marathon championships and the state open marathon championships.
Volunteers are needed to help make this an amazing event that will leave a lasting impression on participants and spectators. All volunteers will receive a volunteer marathon t-shirt, plus some other exciting rewards.
There are numerous pre-marathon needs, as well as many needs on the day of the event.
To volunteer, send an email to Lonnie Somers, volunteer chair, at lonnie@coloradocolfaxmarathon.org and let him know what volunteer activities you’re interested in. Volunteers are also needed for the first marathon training run on Feb. 26.
