Timothy D. Romani, who served as vice chancellor for Campus Planning and Development for the Health Sciences Center since March 2002, resigned the position, effective Dec. 31, 2006.

His responsibilities in this part-time position included the development of the Fitzsimons project, the redevelopment of the Ninth Avenue campus, partnerships with affiliates and collaboration with the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority Bioscience Park.

He also facilitated development of program plans required by the CU Board of Regents and Colorado Commission on Higher Education and managed the construction and related activity of major facility projects.

"Tim Romani has done an outstanding job serving the university's development needs for the move to Aurora," said UCD Chancellor M. Roy Wilson. "He was just the person we needed to make the vision of the Anschutz Medical Campus a reality."

Throughout his tenure with the university, Romani has remained as the president and CEO of Romani Group, Inc., a Denver-based company specializing in sports, convention center and medical facility projects. He plans to resume full-time responsibilities with the Romani Group, Inc.

"With the first phase of construction at the newly named Anschutz Medical Campus reaching completion in 2007-2008, my part of this project is done, and it is time for me to move on to other things," said Romani. "It has been an honor to serve UCD in this capacity."
