The 2005 Western Groups on Educational Affairs (WGEA) conference will focus on "The Many Faces of Narrative: The Research & Stories from our Patients, Students, & Teachers." The WGEA is a regional affiliate of the Association of American Medical Colleges' (AAMC) groups on Educational Affairs (GEA.) The purpose of the GEA is to promote excellence in the education of physicians throughout their professional lives and, thereby, to contribute to improving the health of the public.
News and Announcements
- NEW! The Saturday shuttle schedule has been added to the program. If you are planning on renting a car, check here for more information.
- The JW Marriott is only holding rooms for WGEA reservation until the 18th of March, so make your reservations soon!
- Poster guidlines are posted.
- Student lodging: University of Colorado students have offered to host out of town students for the meeting. If you are interested in this option please email wgea@uchsc.edu.

UCD Fitzsimons Campus Location of Saturday meeting, driving time from the hotel is about 20 minutes and is just over 7 miles away. A shuttle from the hotel to the Fitzsimmons campus will be running on a published schedule and there will be parking available for those wishing to drive.
UCD 9th Avenue and Colorado Blvd Campus Location of the MERC workshops, driving time from the hotel is about 5 minutes and is just under two miles away. Parking is available in the garage at 11th and Albion.

- Denver Art Museum Stop and see the 13 artworks in No Boundaries, which lead us to the intersection of fine art and fiber art, Heaven and Home: Chinese Art of the Han Dynasty from the Sze Hong Collection, and the permenant collection.
- Denver Museum of Nature & Science See exhibits including Egyptian Mummies, Space Odyssey, and the Hall of Life.
- Denver Botanic Gardens
- Skiing, of course, for the day or several.
